So, the band Beastwars I did some album art for a while back are releasing their very own beer - does it get more metal than that?!
Heres the painting I did in photoshop for the beer label featuring the guys from the band. Would have been great to do it as an oil painting in true Frazettaesque style but time limits didn't permit.
A bit more info on the brew and upcoming tour dates:
A recent oil painting which started off with an Art Nouveau flavour and evolved into something much more psychedelic. Benevolent cosmic entity? Not sure - there seems to be a slightly mischievous expression creeping into that face....
About time I updated the old Blog. Here is a recent painting of mine that came from I know not where... The wee pencil sketch, followed by the photoshop mock-up, and the final 30" x 40" oil on canvas.
As promised here are some higher res images of the Beastwars artwork. If you like your metal heavy I suggest you try to get along to one of their album release shows. The album has been getting rave reviews and deservedly so!
Here is a sneaky preview of the album cover art I did for local Wellington metal band Beastwars' upcoming debut album. If you don't have a record player then I suggest you get one 'cause this baby is coming out on vinyl as well as CD!
An oil painting I did for my significant other a while back. It's a bit of a surreal twist on a photo I took of her posing in front of a picture of a flower bouquet.
